Restaurant equipment transport and installation

A commercial kitchen does not get delivered to the curb. We take the equipment down to the basement or up to the third floor, and set it exactly where your contractor will hook it up.

βœ“ Heavy, oversized equipment

βœ“ Basements and tight staircases

βœ“ Set in position, not just delivered

What makes a restaurant delivery different

Three things derail a kitchen installation, and not one of them appears on the supplier’s purchase order.

The weight

A combi oven is not an appliance

A full-size combi oven, a double fryer or a hood-type dishwasher weighs several hundred kilos and travels upright, not flat. The size of the crew and the lifting gear get decided before the truck is booked, not standing at your door.

The building

The kitchen is often in the basement

On the Plateau, in Old Montreal or along Saint-Denis, prep is frequently done in the basement, with a turning staircase and an alley door as the only other way in. We measure that staircase before the truck is ordered.

The calendar

Every week of delay costs a month’s rent

Equipment arrives from the supplier on the supplier’s date, not yours. We receive it, store it and deliver it once the floor is poured and the plumber is ready β€” instead of letting it block the site for three weeks.

What we transport and set in place

We work with restaurateurs, equipment suppliers, commercial space designers and general contractors across Greater Montreal. A useful clarification: we transport, assemble and set in position. Final gas, electrical and plumbing connections, and hood certification, belong to your licensed contractor β€” our job is that everything is exactly in place and undamaged when he arrives.

How an installation runs

01

Access survey

Door widths, ceiling height, staircase, alley, loading zone. With the equipment list, that gives us the plan for the day.

02

Receiving and storage

We take in the supplier deliveries, check the quantities and keep everything dry until the space is ready.

03

Delivery and positioning

Floors and door frames protected, equipment taken down or up, then placed to the kitchen plan, ready for hook-up.

04

Packaging and old equipment

Boxes, pallets and shrink wrap leave with us. So does the old equipment, if you are taking it out at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

Do you connect the gas and the electrical?

No β€” that work requires specific licences and belongs to your contractor. We deliver, assemble, level and set the unit exactly in position so all he has to do is hook it up. We are glad to coordinate our day with his.

The kitchen is in the basement with no freight elevator. Is that doable?

That is the normal situation in pre-war Montreal buildings, and yes. Send us a photo of the staircase with a tape measure in the frame β€” the width of the landing decides everything. See also our material handling and installation service.

My equipment arrives before the space is ready

That is almost always the case. Our commercial warehousing takes the goods in on the supplier’s date and holds them until you call β€” which saves paying for a second delivery or shuffling pallets around the site.

Can you work overnight or before opening?

We are open 7 days, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Replacing equipment in a restaurant that is still operating happens in the morning before service or on the closing day β€” tell us your window and we build the day around it.

Do you serve restaurants outside Montreal?

Yes, anywhere in Quebec. We run regularly to Quebec City, Saguenay and Abitibi. For genuinely oversized pieces, see our specialized transport page.

Let’s plan your opening

Send us the equipment list, the address and the date you are aiming for. We come back with a price and an access plan.
