Transport JM Express

8008 15e Avenue
Montreal, Quebec H1Z 3N6
Canada

Opening hours

Monday to Sunday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Early-morning departures and weekend deliveries are planned ahead. Call the day before rather than the morning of.

Three ways to reach us

They are not interchangeable. Picking the right one can save you half a day.

Phone

438 530-4978

For anything urgent: a truck today, a shipment that has to leave this morning, a part that needs picking up. It is the only channel that solves a problem within the hour.

Email

info@transportjmexpress.com

For anything with attachments: a floor plan, an inventory list, photos of a machine that has to be moved, a bill of lading. Writing beats dictating dimensions over the phone.

Request a price

The form asks the questions in the right order, so nothing essential gets left out. This is the route to take when it is not urgent and you want the price in writing.

What to tell us so the first price is the right one

Almost every unpleasant surprise comes from a detail nobody mentioned: a staircase, a dock at the wrong height, a doorway too narrow. Six pieces of information remove most of the gap between the quoted price and the invoice.

Both addresses, with the floor and the access. Ground floor with a dock, third floor with no elevator, or a basement with a winding staircase: not the same job, not the same price.

What has to move, by volume or by count. A number of pallets, a number of boxes, or simply “the contents of a twelve-desk office.” Approximate is fine; invented is not.

The heaviest or largest single piece. That one item decides the truck, the equipment and the crew size. A single 1,200 kg machine changes the whole plan.

The date, and how firm it is. A few days of flexibility often lets us add your freight to a departure already scheduled on one of our lanes, and that shows up in the price.

Whether there is a loading dock at both ends. Without one, we need a tailgate lift, and a tailgate has weight and width limits. Better to know before the truck is at your door.

What has to arrive installed, not just delivered. Unpacking, assembly, placement, taking the cardboard away: that is a separate service, and plenty of people discover it on delivery day.

Where we are, where we drive

Our base is in Saint-Michel, in Montreal, close to Highway 40 and the A-25 — the same yard local deliveries and long hauls leave from.

Greater Montreal

Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Brossard and both shores — for commercial transport as much as for delivery with installation.

The regions

Regular departures to Quebec City, Abitibi, Saguenay, the North Shore and Toronto. Ask what the next scheduled departure is on your lane — it is usually cheaper than a dedicated run.

Coming to see us

We are a warehouse, not a retail counter. If you are dropping something off or picking something up, call first so someone meets you at the right door and the dock is clear.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a quote take?

A straightforward move between two known addresses gets priced on the call itself. An office relocation, a machine coming out of a shop, or a warehousing mandate needs a site visit or photos, and the answer follows within the business day. What stretches the timeline is never our queue — it is the dimensions and the access somebody has to go and check.

Do you do same-day delivery in Montreal?

Often, yes, across Greater Montreal — but it depends on the time of the call and on what is already rolling. A request made in the morning has far better odds than one at 3 p.m. Call rather than write: same-day does not get settled by email.

Do you work with individuals or only businesses?

Both, though our strength is commercial: heavy equipment, goods that need installing, storage between two leases. For a household, we are the right call when there is one difficult piece — a piano, a safe, an oversized appliance, furniture that has to be assembled on site. For an ordinary apartment move, a residential mover will serve you better and cost you less.

Can I have goods delivered to you and collected later?

Yes. That is our commercial warehousing service: your supplier delivers to us, we receive and check the goods, and we release them when you need them. Let us know before the truck arrives — a warehouse that does not know a pallet is coming cannot receive it.

Let us talk about your shipment

Both addresses, what has to move and the date. That is all we need to come back with a clear price.
