Corridors · Ottawa
Montreal–Ottawa Freight Transport
200 km via Highway 40 and then the 417, about 2 h 15 on the road. The trip is short; what matters is entering the capital at the right time.
✓ LTL or full truckload
✓ Ottawa, Gatineau and the Outaouais Valley
✓ Interprovincial permits handled

What matters on this corridor
Two hundred kilometres, a provincial border in the middle, and a capital where delivery is planned in time windows rather than hours on the road.
Highway 417
An arrival you plan for
The 417 rolls into the capital without a hitch. The tricky part is downtown Ottawa: docks, delivery centres and narrow streets all run on time windows. We know where to enter and at what time — that is what delivering Ottawa means.
Two provinces
The rules change at the border
Quebec and Ontario have different load standards and different permits for oversized dimensions. For an oversized piece you need authorizations on both sides — sometimes an escort. That is arranged before the day of the move.
The return
The corridor runs both ways
Ottawa and Gatineau ship to Montreal too. A return shipment often rides a truck already scheduled the other way, which makes it the cheapest option when your dates are a little flexible.

Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver to Ottawa regularly?
Yes. The Montreal–Ottawa corridor is one of our regular lanes, both directions, as LTL or full truckload. Gatineau is served on the same run. For a one-off shipment we also quote a dedicated departure.
What is the distance between Montreal and Ottawa?
About 200 km and 2 h 15 of driving via Highway 40 and the 417, so half a day of transport. A same-day round trip is realistic when the order comes in before noon. With LTL, the date depends on how full the truck is; with a dedicated truck, it depends on you.
Do you carry oversized loads to Ontario?
Yes, but it has to be planned: dimension and load permits differ between Quebec and Ontario, and you need them on both sides. Send us the dimensions and lifting points early. The details are on our specialized transport.
Can you store the goods before departure?
Yes. Our Montreal warehouse receives your deliveries and holds the goods until departure. That is what lets us consolidate several orders into one trip to Ottawa.
A shipment to Ottawa?
The destination address, the volume or dimensions, and your target date. We come back with a price and a realistic delivery window.
