Stocked shelves in a retail store after a restocking run

Three constraints retail knows well

A carrier who has never delivered to a store finds out about these three on the day itself, standing in front of an occupied dock.

The hour

The dock is not yours

In a shopping centre, management assigns delivery windows, usually asks for proof of insurance and books the freight elevator in advance. Miss the slot and you leave with the pallet and come back tomorrow.

The street

In summer the street goes pedestrian

Several of Montreal’s commercial streets are closed to traffic for a good part of the warm season — Avenue du Mont-Royal, Rue Wellington in Verdun, stretches of Sainte-Catherine. For those addresses, delivery happens early in the morning.

The return

The truck should not leave empty

End of season, supplier returns, promotional displays to dismantle, empty pallets cluttering the stockroom. We take them on the same trip rather than billing you for a second one.

What we do for retailers

Whether you run one boutique or fifteen branches, the need is the same: the goods arrive when there is staff on hand to receive them. We will also put the merchandise on the shelf when asked — useful at an opening, before the store team has been hired.

✓ Regular restocking from your warehouse or supplier

✓ Inventory transfers between branches

✓ Store openings: gondolas, shelving, counters, displays

✓ Remodels and seasonal floor changes

✓ Delivery to your end customer under your store’s name

✓ Supplier returns, unsold stock, kiosk teardown and buffer storage

How we organize a run

01

A sheet per branch

Dock or front door, permitted window, on-site contact, freight elevator. We build it once and reuse it after that.

02

Pickup and consolidation

We collect from your suppliers and group by store, so one truck serves several addresses.

03

Delivery inside the window

Goods unloaded in the back room, not in front of the till, and put where your staff want them.

04

Pickup on the same trip

Returns, empty pallets and dismantled displays leave with the truck. The stockroom stays usable.

Frequently asked questions

I only have one store. Am I too small for you?

No. A good part of our work is on-demand transport for small independent shops. There is no minimum volume and no contract required.

Will you deliver to my customers on my behalf?

Yes, it is a common service. Confirmed appointment, presentable crew, installation where needed. See our rug delivery and installation page for a detailed example.

Can you hold my seasonal shipment?

Yes. A store’s back room is not a warehouse. Our commercial warehousing holds the stock and delivers you part of it each week, according to what sells.

I am opening a branch outside the city

We serve all of Quebec, including Trois-Rivières, Saguenay and Rouyn-Noranda. Store fixtures leave Montreal in a single load.

Tell us at the quote stage. We are on the road from 6 a.m. and we deliver those addresses before the barriers go up, or through the alley where there is one.
