The last twenty metres

An ordinary carrier delivers to the curb or the dock. The rest becomes your problem: finding two people, a hand truck, and someone who knows how to get it through the door frame.

No dock

Most addresses, in other words

A street-level shop, an office upstairs, a condo, a job site: most deliveries do not happen at a loading dock. We show up with the equipment and the number of people the situation calls for.

When the delivery is part of the product

For a custom rug, a designer piece or something collectible, the delivery is part of what the customer bought. Furniture moved, floors and door frames protected, packaging leaves with us.

Measurements are taken at the quote

Door width, landing, winding staircase, elevator depth, booking with building management. We ask for all of it before setting the date, not on the morning of, standing at the door.

What we handle

Handling usually comes with one of our transport jobs, but it can be booked on its own — for instance to receive and set up a delivery somebody else made.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book handling without the transport?

Yes. It happens that a supplier delivers to the curb and nobody on site can get the goods upstairs. We can show up at the delivery time and take over from there.

How many people do you send?

It depends on the weight, the floor and the access. That is exactly why we ask about the stairs and the elevator before quoting: one person too many is expensive, one too few costs a day.

Do you install, or only position?

We position, assemble what assembles without a licensed trade, and lay flooring. Anything needing an electrician, a plumber or a specialized licence stays with your installer — we coordinate the timing with them.

Do you work for retailers and designers?

Regularly. We deliver to the end customer on the retailer’s behalf: confirmed appointment, presentable crew, a report back after the install. See our rug and flooring service.

What about a heavy industrial piece?

Handling is included in our specialized transport: the piece ends up where it has to work, not dropped at the site entrance.
